Beautiful summer environment which may have changeable weather including thunderstorms. A variety of walking and hiking trails and plenty of hilly terrain. Stunning mountain and valley views, wildlife spotting and quiet, remote areas. Village has adequate food supplies and a post office, although medical help is a long drive down the mountain and no pharmavy supplies are available at Falls Creek village.

The skiing at Falls Creek is wonderful and the people on the mountain are very friendly. We love this resort for its wide runs and great vibe. Sadly we went into lock-down after only one day of skiing so the lifts closed so we ended up on touring skis a new concept for us. Putting skins on your skis and releasing the binding to walk up the mountain then removing the skins and changing the binding to ski down. We saw the mountain a different way this time and the aqueduct walk was amazing. We love staying at Falls Creek Hotel the friendly vibe, log fire and superb food is terrific. Having a ski in/out and ski hire/shop below really helps.

We were in Falls Creek for the first time for a hike to Hotham Heights. It's a very attractive ski town, and all the locals were noticeably friendly. It was difficult to find a cafe in the off-season, and we were glad to have booked a restaurant for our dinners. The IGA store was well stocked. Hiking from Falls Creek was excellent, and we'd love to come back for skiing, but it's too difficult for us to get to in Winter when the high road is closed.

Great skiing for beginners. Lots of dining options to suit all tastes. Friendly staff teaching lessons and on the lifts. I would recommend not booking accommodation ahead of time for late in the season / Spring. There are lots of last minute accommodation options at that time. We had some people pull out and was left out of pocket because we couldn't cancel.

Very disappointed that my husbands lift pass couldn’t be refunded following a knee injury where the medical centre advised rest and zimmer splint and provided a medical certificate. No info was given or could be found re this policy and the staff couldn’t care less. Very unfair and profit driven as they did offer a 12 month credit but we may not return next year. I find this ‘goodwill’ offer poor practice, so of course we did what they wanted and spent the credit in their shops before leaving the mountain. 🤑 Most fast food on the mountain is unhealthy, chips, burgers, donuts, waffles, pizza etc with only few healthy options. Restaurants are better but pricier. Shuttle buses and drivers and all other mountain staff excellent
