Daylesford is a Rural Victoria gem, filled with art galleries and great shopping, but most of all an awesome atmosphere where everyone is welcomed. The springs are closeby and wellness spas are abundant, as are a host of other attractions, but you will need transport (car/motorbike) to make the most of it. The annual Pride ChillOut festival over the long labour day weekend is a must, a weekend filled with a host of events and where all the Daylesford businesses get involved. A truly magical time.

It was easy to spend 3 days in Daylesford visiting galleries, parks and the lake area. The food was excellent at the cafes and restaurants I visited, especially The Farmers Arms Hotel which also had a lovely outdoor area. If you’re into second hand shopping, you must visit the Mill Market and op shops too!

Daylesford is wonderful, I visit a few times a year. Lovely restaurants, cafes, shops, people and a superb calmness that is perfect for the soul on a weekend away. Farmers Arms pub has a great local feel, raffle on a Friday is fun. Convent for scones is a great experience and history lesson. Plenty more to do, if you so desire... but a chilled weekend with great company is the the way I like to experience Daylesford.

Very picturesque and relaxing place. Friendly locals, lovely cafes and restaurants. Mineral Springs at Hepburn Bathhouse are amazing for total relaxation. Although not cheap, it is well worth the experience.

Daylesford is a gorgeous town and I would say it is a near perfect country town. It has an intoxicating culture and smorgasbord of historic architecture with many textures and variations and stunning green spaces directly out of the centre of town. It's just a delightful place. No place is perfect, like central Hobart and Launceston it can look a little stark in bright sunlight but nowhere near as much as the two Tasmanian cities. Also if you are not an in your face yuppie/upwardly mobile capitalist, these people are part of the mix there and if like me they are not your thing they are best avoided. Thankfully this time they were on the back burner and nowhere near as prevalent as they've been in my previous visits there. Surprisingly there is a small but vibrant nightlife there on the weekend spread across a few venues.
