Great place for weekend gate away. Lots of activities to do and enjoy the beaches and marine life. The ex servicemen club was great place for dining and entertainment. Plenty of choices for food in other venues as well.

Coffs Harbour is a nice town to holiday in with good beaches and trips into the mountains within easy reach. There are good cafes in the small shopping centre near the Jetty. There is a good variety of shops, with most of the brand names represented. Great for lovers of seafood.

We stayed in Coffs Harbour twice in our travels between QLD and NSW, so 1 night for each journey. Didn't get to sightsee the first stay other than to go for dinner (Shearwater Restaurant) but the night stay on the way back, got to walk around Coffs Harbour and have dinner at a restaurant (Element Bar). Was a pleasant place to visit. I believe you can do day trips on the water from Coffs Harbour but we didn't get to do that this visit.

Loved the lush surrounds, scenery and beaches in Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas. Only downside was heavy traffic through Coffs Harbour but is being addressed by a new bypass so in the future it will be a great change.

Beautiful beaches, heaps of shops and dining, but at Christmas, a lot of traffic - but what do you expect! Recommend not driving there from Sydney between Xmas and NewYear. We left Dec. 22nd and the drive through Coffs to the resort was excruciating.

I visited because of a business matter I had to attend to. I found it had a large number of industrial companies as well as tourist attractions in a compact area. It has cheapest petrol between Metro stations in Sydney and Coffs Harbour. Fill up here and you can get to Sydney or Brisbane. It will be even better when the bypass is finished. But buy your bananas in Sydney before heading to Coffs Harbour.
