Beechworth is a very beautiful historic gold mining town, with lots of historical information and places of interest. You could spend at least a week exploring Beechworth and the surrounding towns which also have interesting history. The landscape is beautiful, with rolling hills, flowing creeks and magnificent Australian flora. There are many cafes to get good coffee and delicious food as well as a number of boutiques where you can get quality clothing. Beechworth is a great place for walking.

Beechworth has so much history. To walk around and see it preserved is amazing. Shopping isn't bad but like any regional town expensive. Food: Beechworth bakery especially the Bee Sting; Little Nev for coffee; Miss Amelie Gourmet for pies; the Ageing Frog for fish and chips and Beechworth Sweet Co for amazing fudge. We are already planning our next visit. Two nights felt too short.

The best things about Beechworth are: 1. Lake Sambell 2. The rail trail (in both directions; Everton and Yackandandah) 3. Beechworth Bakery in both Beechworth and Yackandandah). 4. The variety of excellent restaurants. 5. The olive orchard (Gamila at Beechworth - https://www.gamila.com.au)

Beechworth is an historic gold town with connections to the Kelly Gang. It is quintessential Ozzie bush but is also a high quality wine region. The town has a strong foodie culture with many good eateries including pubs, cafes breweries (like Billson's). The area is very hot in summer but has some of the best cherries and other stone fruits in season. At other times of the year it has fruits such as apples and nuts such as walnuts, which go superbly with the local honey (the Beechworth Honey shop is a must). Beechworth is one of our favourite places in Victoria (did I mention the best toy store too)?

Beautiful historic town well located for visiting other towns close by and taking in lovely mountain scenery. Best visited Friday/Saturday - a lot not open when we were there mid-week, especially food wise. Beechworth Honey store a highlight.

I just love Beechworth, such a beautiful historic town with so much on offer. The buildings are amazing and well kept. A range of great eating places and cafes. Awesome shops to browse in. Love Beechworth honey and always stock up when I visit. I also love the shop next door to it, can't remember the name but so many awesome things - especially the French soap for men. A visit to Billsons is also a must.
