Description
Artitja Fine Art offers Perth audiences the chance to view the amazing diversity in indigenous visual art thanks to their latest exhibition, Point Of Difference Desert to Sea. Drawing on a cross section of artists from Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory, Artitja allows art enthusiasts and artists alike to share in the richness of an art form so intrinsic to indigenous culture. The exhibition celebrates three distinctively different artistic regions - the Tiwi Islands, the Ernabella and Iwantja art communities in the APY desert lands and award winning Noongar Bush Sculptor Janine McAullay Bott. Also included in the Artitja Fine Art curated exhibition will be paintings by octogenarian Cornelia Tipuamantumirri and a selection of paintings by Jane Margaret Tipuamantumirri, who as an emerging artist is quickly gaining popularity for her distinctive flowing style. Point Of Difference Desert to Sea is free to the public opening 6pm on October 7 and will run until November 5, 2016 open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm, exhibiting at Turner Galleries, Engine Rooms, 470 William Street, Northbridge....
